Dear Friends

But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

A couple of days ago, as I walked on the land here at English Acres, I was reminded of the above scripture by the sight of a hawk gliding high above me. It flew so effortlessly, resting on the thermals and I felt a strange mixture of awe and envy.

As children of our Heavenly Father, this is His heart for us. He wants us to know the joy and relief of resting in Him and allowing Him to be in control. It sounds so easy but the hard part is often the journey getting to the thermals - the journey of laying down all the weights that we carry that prevent us from experiencing the lightness of resting on God's thermals.

The good news is that there is a safe place to lay these burdens. It is with our Father in Heaven who cares so deeply for us. He wants us to know that even in the midst of live's stresses and worries, He offers peace, rest and hope. So today, let us allow God to be in control - to surrender to Him all that deters us from knowing the exhilaration of being carried on His thermals.

Healing Retreats at English Acres

The month of May began with our 6th Healing Retreat here at English Acres. It was a wonderful time of God meeting with the delegates. Here is a testimony for your encouragment of how God met with one of the ladies:

Pure Passion Update

During May we also held our Pure Passion conference in Nashville with Peter and Fiona Horrobin and David Kyle Foster. Many who attended were touched by the teaching and we pray that there would be lasting fruit from this event. If you were unable to attend but would like to receive the teaching please visit our website where you can order it on either CD or DVD.

Special Prayer Ministry Training School

In December we will be holding a special 6-Day training school for those involved in ministering to others. The teaching will focus on how to minister in various situations and will be invaluable to those who are involved in church prayer ministry teams. The dates of this mini-school are 3-8 December 2007 and it will be held in the Brandon area of Florida. Full details will be available in July's issue of our e-newsletter.

The Truth about Sex and Sexuality

We live in a world that has devalued and distorted the Godly concept of sex and sexuality. As a result there are many Christians living in guilt or struggling because of lack of knowledge, wrong past choices or as a consequence of sins that others have committed against them.

This course offers a safe place to help those who struggle in this area and seeks to present a clear biblical understanding of God's order and intention for sex and sexual expression. It will also explain the consequences of wrongful sexual activity and teach and apply principles, which lead to healing and restoration of Godly order.

Steps to Freedom From Fear

Fear is one of the most common and crippling experiences of life. It damages and constrains our lives, work, relationships and our ministry and service for the Lord. It affects every part of our being.

This ministry course seeks to provide understanding of the often deep seated causes of fear and how God's healing love can bring freedom, release and restoration. The title of the course - Steps to Freedom from Fear - recognises that full healing is a process and there may be several stages to receiving release and freedom.

The course is designed both for those who struggle with fear and also for those who seek to minister healing through the power of the Holy Spirit.
