Happy Birthday Pierrepont!

It is with great joy this month that we are celebrating Pierrepont's 13th Birthday!

Back in 1994 Jill came to look at the old Pierrepont School which was up for sale, not really knowing what she was letting herself in for. Whilst standing outside the main building God showed her a unique vision of a globe coming up the Pierrepont drive, stopping on India as it reached the front of the main house. Doors opened, and ladders came out as people began to pour into Pierrepont. The globe then turned until eventually doors had opened in every nation all over the world. After a while these people went back up the ladders and into their countries of origin, then the doors closed and the globe went back down the drive. It was from this vision that the NETS school was birthed and first began in 1997.

The estate was up for sale with several other bidders expressing interest. However, this was no ordinary purchase as God already had a plan and purpose for this particular piece of property. Nearly 50 years previously the Lord had spoken to a pastor, saying that he would bring the very ground on which Pierrepont stood into his kingdom purposes, revealing that it was to become a place where many would be saved and receive healing.

By the time Ellel Ministries purchased the building it had been completely stripped of all previous furnishings meaning that the team had to totally trust God for his provision. God proved entirely faithful, providing the team with vast amounts of equipment from the most unlikely of sources such as Shell International who donated 50 tonnes of carpet tiles and the Ministry of Defence from which we accumulated hundreds of beds, basins, toilets, kitchen units and much, much more!

In the light of this amazing story and testimony to God's awesome faithfulness it is not surprising that 13 years on we are continuing to praise God for what he has done and look forward to what he is going to do, especially as we move now into a new and exciting season, beginning to translate the NETS teaching into all the core languages of the world.

 

Jesus Heals!

On 2nd February we had the privilege of welcoming over 200 people through our gates for a completely free day of teaching, more than half of whom had never been to Pierrepont before. God really moved throughout the day and powerfully touched many people as they sat through the teaching.

Jill began the day by talking on biblical foundations in the first session and then went on to approach the very sensitive subject of forgiveness, bringing great insight into how God can actually enable us to forgive even when we feel we can't. Talking from her own personal experience, she shared how God helped her to forgive some people who had deeply hurt her in the past, explaining that it was only when God revealed forgiveness to her in a completely different light that she was actually able to fully release those who had hurt her.

Later on in the afternoon Jilly Lyon Taylor shared from Zephaniah 3:17 as she brought a very special teaching, on God's father heart of love towards each of us:
"The lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in   you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." NIV
With this scripture in mind she went onto explain how it is possible for us to come into a deep and intimate relationship with God as a father, receiving true acceptance in him and knowing that he is mighty to save. 

We praise God for all that he did in the lives of those who attended the day:

Jill's comments on the day: "It was great to see so many cars on the field as I arrived at Pierrepont. We were really pleased to have the chance of welcoming so many, especially the vast amount of people who were coming to Pierrepont for the first time. The whole day went really well and I was personally particularly touched whilst teaching on forgiveness during the second session. It became obvious that people had come hungry to be set free, longing to hear kingdom truths. Seeing so many people coming forward to commit or recommit their lives to the Lord was such a blessing. We are really looking forward to our next free day event which will be taking place on 9th August"
