NETS
Graduation
Friday 14th September saw Pierrepont
reach a significant milestone. For the first time ever we had the
privilege of holding a Term Four Graduation Ceremony. It was a really
special time with the students impressing us all as they entered the room
dressed in stunning black gowns!
The ceremony got underway with a fantastic time of worship, followed by
some inspirational words from Peter Horrobin. Then as we handed the
microphone over to the students they began to step forward, each giving
testimony to the transforming hand of God at work in their lives during
Term Four and ultimately the whole of NETS. We then watched with delight
as four students were presented with the new Ellel Ministries diploma and
a further four with certificates in recognition of completing the full
year’s course.

Term 2 Celebration
The morning after the Term Four
Graduation, it was time to say goodbye again, only this time to the Term
Two students who were leaving after spending the last six months with us
at Pierrepont.
The day began with worship, followed by a
challenging message from the Assistant Director of NETS. Then in keeping
with the pattern of the previous evening we were once again privileged to
listen to the students as they shared their testimonies with us. We were
all praising God as one after another we heard each person sharing of how
they had been blessed, restored, healed, transformed and were now ready to
leave Pierrepont having been equipped for God’s purposes.
We Praise God for how he is using NETS
to transform so many people’s
lives!

Quiver
There
was a real buzz of anticipation in the air as the Pierrepont team began
counting down the days, full of expectancy for our first Quiver event,
which took place on the weekend of 24th – 26th
August.
We
watched, hardly able to contain our excitement as the bookings steadily
began to rise, even reaching the point where we had to organise extra
accommodation at the last minute to house the numerous 18 – 35 year olds
as they continued to ring in! When 24th August arrived, we were finally
(after waiting patiently!) able to welcome Pierrepont’s first Quiver
delegates as one by one they began to step through the door.
Vibrant, energetic worship on the Friday night
kicked the weekend off to a great start, and as the sound of singing
filled the room it was with joy that we watched the young people from so
many different nations coming together in one room, all worshiping God.
Session after session, through the teaching and the various ministry times
which followed, the young people allowed God to touch areas within their
lives which needed healing, especially in the area of forgiveness.

In
addition to the teaching, we made sure that there were lots of
opportunities to socialise, including a great chance to mingle and get to
know one another on the first night, melting marshmallows around a warm
bonfire. The following evening saw us all enjoying a delicious barbeque
together as we sat outside on the grass, and later finished the night off
by playing various games!
Sunday
afternoon, however, came all too fast as the event drew to a close. The
weekend ended with several of the young people giving testimony to what
God had done in their lives, leaving encouraged, on fire for God and
wanting to make a difference for him.
Pastors & Leaders
Conference
On 24th September we welcomed nearly 80 Church
Leaders as they arrived for our four day Pastors and Leaders’ conference,
some of whom had travelled from as far away as Dubai and even India just
for this event! As the teaching got underway the leaders were especially
blessed as they sat listening to Jim Graham, who taught for a whole day on
leadership.
There was also plenty of time for the Pastors
to relax and recharge their batteries whilst enjoying the surrounding
countryside and also having the opportunity to receive ministry. By the
end of the week we were rejoicing as we saw many of those who had arrived
so burdened and exhausted leaving with a greater sense of peace,
reaffirmed in the call of God on their lives.
London
Conference
Many of the Pierrepont
team rose early on the morning of 17th November, heading towards the
Ealing Christian Centre in London. On arrival everyone piled in, each
heading towards their individual job stations, eagerly anticipating an
exciting day ahead. When registration began at 8:45 the delegates started
to come though the doors and quickly filled up the
auditorium.
The four sessions of dynamic teaching were
led by Jill Southern and Jilly Lyon Taylor, who taught powerfully on the
often untouched subjects of Love, Marriage and Sex. Furthermore, the
opportunities for prayer ministry that followed enabled many people to
share what was on their heart and receive a healing touch from God: “God
has set me free, I am a new creation.”
