April 2010

Dear Friend,

In Isaiah 43 God says, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?"  Here at Pierrepont we are seeing God doing new things in many ways. With the weather becoming warmer and the sun shining we have seen more flowers and more people on the grounds playing football, volleyball, frisbee, and picnicking. Not only is a new season of the year coming to Pierrepont, we are also entering a new season of learning, fellowship, and growth.

In mid-April we welcomed over 65 total trainees from NETS Stages 1 and 3 coming from over 18 different countries. Although the volcanic ash did its best to keep them away, we started the stage with the majority of trainees with the rest coming in soon after. We hosted the NETS Welcome Celebration and heard enthusiastic introductions and testimonies from the trainees, and shared in the excitement of their new season.

The NETS trainees will be participating in a new weekly event called F.A.S.H.(Faithful, Able, Servant-Hearted) where they will partner with team in completing projects around the Pierrepont base while building relationships with each other. Projects to be completed include building a greenhouse, rebuilding a prayer hut, making a barbecue area, building outdoor furniture, cataloguing library books, and creating prayer walks around base. We look forward to seeing the trainees and team becoming one family and growing stronger in unity and love as they begin to serve each other in community.

A bible college in England shut their doors recently and decided to donate their library of over 8,000 books to us here at Ellel Pierrepont. While sorry for the unfortunate situation of our donor, we feel blessed to have received such a generous gift. The collection of books has been valued at over 80,000£ and the team is very excited to begin the library project. We are already busy cataloguing the vast boxes of books, and the long room in the Main House will soon become a place of reading and study. We hope on your next visit to Pierrepont you will come and enjoy our library with us.

Recently I've sensed God saying that in addition to having strong prayer and worship in our foundation we must make corporate bible study a priority here at Pierrepont. To that end Murray Dixon, one of our leaders, is going to lead us in an interactive study of the Torah. These first five books of the Old Testament are full of exciting stories and truths that reveal different aspects of God's character. The Torah is the foundation upon which the rest of the scriptures are built, and so we hope this in-depth study will be both interesting and impactful to us as a community and ministry.

You can view our full events diary by clicking here. It's not long now until our free conference 'Jesus Heals Today' on 29th May. It will be an exciting day of worship, dynamic teaching and personal prayer ministry. The Quiver team is also excited to be planning what looks to be a fantastic event for 18-35's on June 19th, inspiring a generation of young people to be like Joshua; powerful and patient, strong and servant hearted, determined and disciplined as they become the leaders of tomorrow.

We also added the second article in our 'Fruit of the Spirit' series to the NETS website this month. This one is on 'Joy' - Click here to read it.

Every blessing in Christ Jesus,

Change the Course of Your Life!

Summer MicroNETS : Jul 31st - Aug 8th

Starting on Saturday and going through to Sunday of the following weekend, MicroNETS is designed to give those who work the opportunity to have a 9 day school using only 5 working days!

Students who have attended this course in the past have given testimony of how thoroughly blessed they were by their time on MicroNETS. Each day will start with a time of worship and a bible study, followed by teaching, discussion groups and ministry during the day. Evenings will begin with another opportunity for worship, followed by teaching or demonstration ministry. Relaxation time is included too, giving you a chance to visit the surrounding countryside or just take time out to sit and watch the river go by!

This is an ideal opportunity to seek God and become equipped to serve more powerfully in His kingdom.

"I came here to learn more about ministering to others, but while I was here God showed me that there were major areas in my own life which needed healing. God showed me that He accepts me just as I am. He has delivered me and set me free."

Quiver - Calling all 18 - 35 year olds!

The Joshua Generation! - 19th June 2010

Are you part of the upcoming generation that desires to move
into the fullness of their destiny in Christ?

Do you want to see the Great Commission fulfilled by making disciples and destroying the works of the enemy?

God has a strong destiny and calling on each of our lives, and when God calls us to go conquer enemy territory and take the land we will need to be strong and courageous. Joshua was used mightily by the Lord to lead the people in God's purposes, but even he didn't go straight into leadership without preparation.

Joshua was powerful and patient, strong and servant-hearted, determined and disciplined, and this came through years of service to God and His people. It is during our time of preparation, through hardship and trial, that we build our character and develop endurance.

Come to Quiver - 'The Joshua Generation' and learn how to prepare yourself in spirit soul and body, for all of God's purposes in your life, both now and in the future.

Programme:

10am - 6pm: Worship, Teaching, Games, Group Activites, Lunch etc.
6pm until late: After party: live music, food & drinks, quiz etc.

Come to Pierrepont for a fun day with lively worship, powerful teaching and a life-changing encounter with God.

(This course was originally listed on the diary as 'What's Holding You Back' but has been changed by the Lord's leading to 'The Joshua Generation' - we are very excited about what God has planned for us! If you have already booked under the old name, you don't need to do anything - just turn up, we look forward to seeing you.)

Be part of what's going on at Pierrepont

The work at Ellel Pierrepont has been going now for more than 15 years and we have seen the Lord faithfully provide for all our needs over that time. Many people have joined with us in the work by supporting us financially either on a one off basis or longer term. We recognise that not everyone can be here at Pierrepont working full time but God has called businesses and individuals  who are working full time in other jobs to partner with us in seeing His vision fulfilled.

Would you consider partnering with us in the core vision of welcoming people from every nation, teaching them and healing those in need?

If so you can call us on 01252 794060 and ask to speak with Darren. Alternatively
you can give online.
