Dear Friend,

As I was sitting in the sunshine the other day I was reflecting on how negative we can feel when the source of our information is the news media, or the weather forecast.

We are given a diet of negatives about the weather, or the price of oil, hours of information about the uncertainty of the money markets, and harrowing details of the war torn areas of our world.

How good it is to know that our future does not depend on any of these things. Our future is in The Lord's hands, and we can trust that He is a Good Father who knows every detail of our lives, and is aware of all the difficulties we face.

Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6;25 onwards that we should not worry about what we will eat, or what we will wear, and in verse 33 that we should seek the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to us.

Here at Ellel Grange we are praising The Lord for his faithfulness and provision as we see week after week the transformation of peoples lives. What a joy it is to work in a place dedicated to welcoming the people, teaching them about the
Kingdom of God and healing those who are in need. An example of this is the course 'Steps to Freedom from Fear' as advertised below, which will really help those of us who are filled with worries or feel overtaken by fear of the future.

I'm thrilled as I look forward to Ministry to Men (17th - 19th October ), we men so often carry responsibility but find it difficult to talk about the things we struggle with, this course will enable us to open up and release the pressure.

Healing for Women (21st - 23rd November) is a great course for women to talk about their needs.
Do not miss this very special course to help build you up and continue your journey with the Lord.

Healing for Parental Wounds the following week is a real special, not to be missed. Paul Watson, who is the Director of Ellel in Australia, is in England for a short time, and will join us to teach into this subject that affects so many people in our unstable world

Of course we are also affected by the reality of serious price increases of all our supplies. Every week we use thousands of pounds paying for heating and lighting, food and services.
Earlier in the Year we had a Carbon Trust survey which highlighted areas we need to improve in the buildings to become more efficient and use less fuel.

There are three key things we need to do, and we have made a start with the first one.

• We need to replace all our light bulbs with low energy bulbs (approx £2,000)
• We need to insulate the roof spaces much more (approx £3,000)
• We need to replace four ancient inefficient central heating boilers (approx £20,000)

It would really help us if you could pay for some low energy light bulbs (£2 each) or some rolls of insulation (£22/pack) or even something towards one of our boilers (£5000 each).

Can I ask you to pray with us for The Lord's provision for these building improvements. As we walk forward, seeking to fulfill what Jesus wants in our lives I know that we can depend on Him to
provide our every need.

Interview with Zhenya from Russia on our Young People's Team (YPT)

How did you come to Ellel Grange?

I worked with Paula O'Keefe in Armavir, Russia. There I met up with the Roger Pook and Wendy Whitten as well as the Silvester's when they came to teach on one of the Ellel schools. Wendy spoke about the Young Peoples Team a few times. Last year I finished college and went to missionary school. There God spoke to me about missionary work as I was not ready for university and to study. I was too tired and had too much pain in me. A lady gave me a word from the Lord that I need to make a step out in faith. So I decided to apply to go to Ellel Grange and for a visa, and God provided everything.

What can you say about your background?

I have a younger brother and live with my mother who is from Siberia.My father who was Jewish died when I was 16, which was a very difficult time. I was so damaged and felt no love in me.

What has been your experience at Ellel Grange?

I arrived at Ellel Grange on 28^th October 2007 and the welcome party the other young people gave me touched me deeply (photograph). From November to Christmas I cried every night and I thought no one noticed. I was encouraged to attend the first Healing Retreat in mid January and after the 3 days it was amazing, I felt connected together like a destroyed box that was put back together like a present. Before I could not receive other people's love, but now I could receive it. In August I was feeling tired and was ready to go home, but the Lord touched me again at the Quiver weekend. I want to stay, learn more and be a channel of His love to those who do not have parents or are abused.

So what are your plans for the future?

I really feel so good and am looking forward to seeing my family again. The void in my life has been filled. I leave for Russia on Monday, but am planning to return before Christmas to come onto team provided I can get another visa.
