Dear Reader,

Welcome to this first Ellel Grange electronic Newsletter (eNews). We have been contemplating doing this for some time and now we have finally arrived! We have included items of internal interest from around the centre and will try to give you an insight into various activities and the people involved.

It has been my privilege to work here at the Grange for many years and to see lives changed and transformed by Jesus, including my own. As I minister and teach others, I cannot help but be impacted by the truth of the Word of God. One of my favourite verses is 2 Thess 3:3 "The Lord is faithful and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one." This has become more real to me over the years and I pray that you too will find Him to be all sufficient even when our situations seem hopeless.

I look forward to meeting you on your next visit to Ellel Grange.

Ian Coates
Ellel Grange Centre Director

What's happened?
Healing for women

On the Friday afternoon, women from all over the country travelled to Ellel Grange. A weekend without taking care of the family, but totally cared for. In the dining room it's not the sound of cutlery, but the buzz of 57 different voices in animated discussion with their own story to tell. It's amazing to see and experience how open the women are from the first session on. With open and expectant hearts they express themselves in worship and glorify God.

the heart with a lot of enthusiasm about God's truth about womanhood. Following the teaching there is plenty of time to receive ministry. Although from various church backgrounds, a strong unity binds these women together. At the end of the weekend many tears have been shed and it's impressive to see and hear how God, in a short time, can change and restore so many lives. Imagine how powerfully this impacts the lives of many families!

"God has shown me and prepared me to go back home and be the wife and mother He wants me to be."

A similar course for men is coming up on 30th November.

Nadiye

Flagship School
Nadiye tells about her first impression of the Flagship School
Bali, an island in Indonesia, is known as one of the famous honeymoon resorts in the world where people go to. Nadiye tells that on her island about 96% of the people are Hindu's and that makes life as a Christian not always easy. Nadiye 29, is one of the 39 students from 13 different nations who came to Ellel Grange in the beginning of May to attend the 9 week Flagship School. She says she came to the UK for this school, because "I desire to learn more about inner healing. I like the beautiful surroundings here, the sense of peace, nature and the nice and cosy old building. I feel so accepted, comfortable and helped by the friendly staff.

"The main reason why I came is that I have a burden to help others. After many years of physical and mental illness Jesus completely healed me. I said: "God I want to work for you. "When I heard about Ellel Ministries from my mentor in Indonesia and read about a school for healing and deliverance training, I realized it exactly fitted my vision. I would like to help others in my church to apply all the things that I will learn during this school and share them with the people and friends that I meet."

We are very thankful for all the 39 students who came from all four corners of the world to attend the Flagship School. The students are all settling in well and are getting to know each other.

Prayer
Our prayer for the Flagship students is that when they go back to their nations, that they make a big splash in bringing God's healing to the broken hearted.

Behind the Scenes

King's Lee
King's Lee on the inside

King's Lee restoration
At the beginning of the year we started with the restoration of King's Lee. There were essential structural repairs, complete refurbishment of rooms and new furniture yet to come. It's all a lot of work and costs a lot of money. Could you please help us towards these costs so that the longer term ministry and office work may continue here again? We would really appreciate your funding. We are also looking for volunteers with building trade skills including electricians and plumbers.

For more information, please contact us at info@grange.ellel.org.uk or download the brochure.

Interview with Mark Johnson about maintenance of Ellel Grange
What is your main task at the Grange?
"It's to make sure that everything in the building and around the grounds is working, running and gets replaced if needs be. At the moment I'm working in King's Lee to do carpentry and plumbing work."

You are always hard working behind the scenes, but what gets you up in the morning?
"This is where I feel called. I try to make sure that everybody is comfortable in the house."

... and then enjoying the benefits with his three children

What makes your job fun?
"The interaction with many people makes every day so different. And I enjoy doing physical work. I like to be cheerful and make everyone happy."

Why did you come to work for Ellel Ministries and not for another organisation?
"Well, I applied for different organisations around the world, but I felt this was the right place to be. When I'm working here I feel uplifted in my spirit."

What's happened to the swimming pool recently?
"Blistered fingers, aching hands, it was one week of hard work to empty the swimming pool, scrub and grout the walls, scrub again, power wash them and finally refill the pool. Last but not least, a new pool cover."
