Ellel Grange
25th July 2007

Dear Reader,

Welcome to this second Ellel Grange electronic Newsletter.

It's been thrilling over the past years to see how the Lord has extended our prayer support network, as well as our local intercessors who have prayed ever since the beginning of the Ministry, hundreds of our supporters all over the world pray around the clock for every School, Course and Retreat we hold. Prayer has played such an important part in seeing and hearing the amazing testimonies of God's healing and deliverance in the lives of those who come to Ellel Grange for help.

A Prayer Support Group meets here once a month to pray for the work of Ellel. Details of these meetings can be found on the Event Diary page in the UK section of our website or contact us on prayer.grange@ellelministries.org. We would like to invite and welcome you to join us.

I pray that as you read our latest news, you too will be deeply impacted by all that our Faithful, Gracious and Loving Heavenly Father is doing in our midst.

'The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.  His mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness, O Lord.'

2007 Flagship Ends

The 9-week Flagship students left us on Saturday 7th July (7/7/7!).  It was an emotional day for many, with tears of happiness as some of them gave testimony of the Lord's work in their lives during the School and tears of sadness as they began to say their goodbyes and pack their bags to go home.

"I am grateful to God and Ellel Ministries for all that God has done over the nine-week Flagship School.  The teaching has been excellent and I am taking it away to apply it in Africa and in my church."

"I think the School has far exceeded what I could have dreamed of.  The teaching and the healing and deliverance that took place were awesome."

"I loved the pastoral setting and being able to go for walks - the lush settings and nature brought much peace into my life."

"I am so thankful for the time at Ellel to get such solid biblical teaching.  I am thankful to the Lord for bringing healing into my inner wounds.  I sense a greater freedom now and wonder what He has waiting for me in the future."

"I received a lot of inner healing and am so thankful to the Lord."

"The School met all of my expectations and more. It was wonderful just to be in a safe place for nine weeks with others walking the same path."

"I especially appreciated the opportunity to assist in ministry with councillors, each of who are so different in the way they minister, but in all cases God blessed the people we were counselling."

"It was a much richer and fuller experience than I had anticipated and has made me want to learn more!"

Eight of them are continuing with the NETS Term 2 at Pierrepont, so continue to pray for them and the others who have returned home.

God's Heart for Restoration

We give thanks for an excellent 'Taster Weekend' entitled, 'God's Heart for Restoration', taught by the Centre Director, Ian Coates.  This was held from 8th to 10th June with 38 in attendance, many for the first time at an Ellel event.

One lady shared:- "...taught me more about the love God has for me and brought Jesus very close. The Holy Spirit was very evident in everything that went on. The fellowship and welcome wonderful."

Another testified, "When I came I felt rejected and a failure, but on leaving I am accepted as the person I am in Jesus Christ.  The release and peace is wonderful. I give God the glory in working through this ministry to heal the broken hearted."

Many others testified to God bringing deep healing and freedom as they received the truths of His Kingdom through the teaching and ministry time. If you have never visited Ellel Grange, you are invited to visit us on our Open Weekend we are having on Friday 7th September to 9th September.

The Comings and Goings

It's been good to welcome back Peter and Fiona Horrobin and Jan Vose from Taiwan/Malaysia and Wendy from India and hear good reports of the conferences there. Please refer to our International Newsletter.  We are also pleased to welcome Tamzin from Cornwall and Bernadett from Hungary who are helping us on the YPT during the summer.   We said a sad goodbye to two of our young people who played a significant role in the kitchen.  Dori returned to Hungary and Janina to Germany.

We celebrated the forthcoming marriage of Andreas and Marianne with a beautiful meal they prepared for nearly 60 staff and associates on Friday evening of the 6th July.

Behind the scenes

Like most organisations, we depend on computers in many ways. For them to work properly they need to be maintained. Johann Hanekom has done this for the past 7 years, since he arrived at Ellel Grange with his wife Rene and one son, Heinrich in May 2000.

I asked him how he landed up looking after the computers here at Ellel Grange. His short answer was "My son's fault!" His eldest son, also named Johann, landed up helping with the sound system at a conference by Peter Horrobin introducing Ellel Ministries to South Africa  in May 1998. The Lord moved him to apply on the spot through Fiona Horrobin for YPT, the Young Peoples' Team and was accepted.  Getting to know Ellel Ministries through his son and lots of prayer and guidance from God led to Johann and Rene attending the Ellel Team Conference in 2000. They then, with their other son Heinrich, moved up to the Grange.

Johann took early retirement from Telkom in 1998. He is a mechanical engineer and a graduate of PRETORIA University. God spoke clearly to him back in 1991 to bring healing to people. This has been a call on his and Rene's lives ever since.

Johann has gone in for needed eye operations, so lift him up in your prayers.
