Restoring the Human Spirit
This exciting course is all about discovering who we really are and how God alone can meet the innermost needs of our heart.
The life-imparting teaching, testimonies and key principles presented for moving into wholeness will be of great encouragement to all. In particular, this course will be of immense help to all those who feel weighed down and crushed in spirit, but desire a closer walk with God and improved relationships with others
All those involved in counselling and prayer ministry will find the course most beneficial. An understanding of how the human spirit can be damaged and how to bring God?s healing to this part of a person?s being is of vital importance as one seeks to minister God?s love to hurting people.
This course comes out of extensive ministry experience to deeply wounded and broken lives.
Topics covered include:
What is the human spirit?
Essential foundational teaching defining the role and function of our God-created human spirit, and the important ingredients needed for its growth and maturing.
How the human spirit can be damaged
Explores what the Scriptures have to say about damage to the human spirit. We will look at how the human spirit can be wounded and crushed by the attitude and behaviour of others, together with the words they direct against us.
The consequences of damage to the human spirit
Identifies how crushing of the human spirit results in lack of creativity, sustained vision or fulfilment in life, and is often the root of inner conflict, turmoil and physical, emotional and spiritual problems.
How the human spirit can be restored
Explains how God?s heart is to bring back life into our spirit. Describes important keys to this process and identifies our own responsibilities in the process, as well as the responsibilities of those seeking to be channels of God?s love to hurting individuals.
Teaching on this course is interspersed with discussion, group work and personal reflection, giving an opportunity to apply the teaching to our own lives.
