Ministry to Men
This dynamic teaching and ministry course is purely for men. No matter what your age or background, this course has something for you!
Come and join with us for an exciting but challenging weekend as we look at relevant male issues such as headship, overcoming sexual temptation, the Godly expression of emotions, controlling one?s anger and how to deal with failure.
Biblically based teaching will present help and guidance to men as they seek to fulfil God?s calling on their lives. The teaching will be interspersed with ministry times allowing an opportunity to respond to what God is revealing and to receive prayer.
This course provides a safe, secure, non-threatening and confidential environment where men may learn, share together and receive God?s healing and restoring love.
Initial teaching summarises God's plan for manhood in terms of man's activities, responsibilities and relationships. The course then addresses issues that men struggle with including:
Self Image
Peer pressure and role models often affect the image we have of ourselves. The teaching helps us to see ourselves as God sees us and develop a godly self-image.
Expressing emotions
Many men have difficulty either expressing emotions such as pain and sadness or controlling emotions such as anger. Teaching looks at the consequences of this and explains how emotions can and should be expressed in a godly way.
Male leadership
This covers a Biblical understanding of male leadership and headship and the Christian outworking of this in the home, in the church, at work and in other relationships.
Expression and control of male sexuality
Many Christian men struggle with their sexuality and have difficulty overcoming temptations on issues relating to pornography and lust. Keys to freedom and maintaining a right and godly expression of sexuality are explained.
Handling failure and setbacks
Biblical and practical help in dealing with real life issues like failure, redundancy and broken relationships.
Teaching on this course is interspersed with times for discussion, asking questions and for receiving prayer ministry.
