Dealing with Stress, Anxiety and Burnout
Are you one of the many people in today's society who suffer from stress, anxiety or burnout? If so, or if you are trying to help others cope with such problems, this is the course for you.
This much needed course presents clear biblical teaching on the true peace that comes only from Jesus. It looks at root causes of stress and how these can be dealt with through healing and prayer ministry. Biblical principles are given showing how stressful situations and relationships can be handled in Godly ways.
This course will be helpful to all those struggling in stressful circumstances and those who feel unable to cope with the 'normal' demands of life. With the rapid growth of stress related problems, the teaching on this course is also increasingly relevant to all those who seek to counsel, pray with and help others.
This course offers help and hope for those struggling with stress, anxiety and burnout. Teaching covers the following:
Causes and symptoms of overstress and anxiety
Change, conflict, loss, expectations of others and bereavement are just a few of the many pressures of modern life. As these become too great to handle, the whole person is affected and there are changes in the way we think, feel, behave and relate to others.
Inner weaknesses
Explains how our ability to manage life's circumstances is related to the degree of inner wholeness. Damage and unhealed areas in our soul and human spirit affect how well we are able to deal with stress producing situations.
Healing for stress, anxiety and burnout
Recognising that we do have a problem and identifying the root causes are key steps in receiving healing and recovering from the consequences of stress in our lives.
Living with pressure
Presents scriptural principles and practical guidelines for handling everyday pressures in a godly way and so reduce the stress, tension and anxiety that we all experience.
Short optional assignments, which help to apply the teaching to individual situations, will be given at the end of some sessions. There will also be an opportunity to respond to the teaching and receive prayer ministry.
