The Ellel Diploma in Christian Healing and Discipleship

The commission Jesus gave to the Church for the whole of time was to "go into all the world and make disciples . . . teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20). Jesus taught his own disciples to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick (Luke 9:1-2). So teaching about healing and making disciples is foundational to living the Christian life and a primary training element of the Christian Church.

The Ellel Ministries International Diploma recognises the need for training in these vital areas and provides a number of different routes through which students from all over the world may begin a 4-term course of personal study and training which will eventually lead to their reaching a Diploma. Term 1 may be completed in two different ways at local Ellel Centres. Terms 2 to 4 can only be completed as part of the NETS programme at Ellel Pierrepont in the UK.

The Routes to a Diploma

Starting with the Modular School

The Ellel Modular School (parts A and B) is a selection of training courses covering nineteen weekends spread over two years. The Modular School is available at most of our centres across the world, so training can begin at your nearest local centre. Those who satisfactorily complete all nineteen courses are deemed to have completed the first term of the Diploma Course. Terms 2 to 4 can then be completed at Ellel Pierrepont.
Please note: The 20 Day Course is equivalent to part A of the Modular School.

Starting with the 9 Week School

The 9 Week School is Ellel Ministries' flagship training programme. During 2006 it will run at Ellel Grange and as the first term of NETS at Ellel Pierrepont. This is a nine-week residential period of training which is also the first term of the Diploma Course (held over 10 weeks at Pierrepont). Terms 2 through 4 can then be completed at Ellel Pierrepont.

The NETS School at Ellel Pierrepont is a comprehensive four-term programme beginning with the 9 week school which forms the first term of the School. The foundational NETS School comprises the first two terms of the NETS programme.

Not all NETS students find the Term 3 and 4 programmes appropriate for their training needs and only those who satisfy the teaching staff of their suitability will be invited to take their studies further and enter the final two terms of the Diploma programme.

The third term of the NETS School introduces the students to many new topics but most significantly offers the students first-hand mission and teacher training experience. Term 3 always includes a two to three week overseas mission programme.

Term 4 completes the Diploma programme and provides much more opportunity for first-hand ministry experience. All students who finish Term 4 will receive a Certificate of Completion. Those who demonstrate an applied outworking of their learning and understanding, either practically or with a written 10,000 word dissertation, will be eligible for the actual diploma.
