Life is for Living

Life is for Living is an expression of God's heart for His people. Jesus said that He had come so that we could experience a full and abundant life but the reality for many of us is that we are not living life in this way. In this introduction to the series 'Steps to Life', Peter shares something of God's heart for healing and also shares about the way that God led Ellel Ministries to be.

The Truth about Mankind

This teaching shares how God desires us to be whole in spirit, soul and body. It explains how different parts of our being can be damaged, leading to long-term consequences in our lives. Peter shares a message of hope - that God is both able and willing to bring us into freedom so that we can be fully restored in relationship with Him.

Acceptance & Belonging 1

Acceptance and belonging begins with really knowing how secure and safe we are in God. The reality for many of us, however, is that this is restricted by experiences in our life where our understanding of God, ourselves and others become distorted. In the first part of this teaching Peter introduces four principles of acceptance; to accept God as He really is, to allow God to accept us as we are, to accept ourselves as we are and to accept others as they are.

Acceptance & Belonging 2

In the second part on this subject of Acceptance and Belonging, Peter teaches about some of the ways in which we can be rejected and how this can then affect the way we live and our expectations of ourselves and others. Peter shares a message of hope that God's heart is to lift us out of the pit of rejection and help us to re-learn who we are so that we can become the person that He intended us to be.

God's Power for the Body of Christ 1

In this exciting teaching, Peter Horrobin teaches about the Holy Spirit being a gift from God which enables us to do the things that He has called us to do. Peter also explains the important differences between the anointing and the baptism of the Holy Spirit and shares how the Holy Spirit is God's promise which is available to all in the Church and empowers us to live the Christian life.

God's Power for the Body of Christ 2

In the second teaching on this important subject about the Holy Spirit, Peter takes time to explain the differences between the gifts and the fruit of the Holy Spirit. He teaches how gifts, both natural and spiritual are given in an instant but how fruit takes time to grow. This is an essential teaching for all those seeking greater understanding in this area.

Setting the Captives Free

This vital teaching shares the truth that Jesus came to set the captives free and that this sometimes involves the ministry of deliverance. Peter teaches about Satan's desire to rob us of our destiny but how God's desire is to restore us and to free us from any bondage that we might be in. Peter also shares that this ministry was an important part of Jesus' work and how He has called us to continue His work in setting the captives free.

Freedom from Ungodly Soul-Ties

In this important teaching, Peter brings an understanding of ungodly relationships and their effect on our lives. The issue of ungodly control is highlighted and practical steps are given to finding freedom - drawing nearer to God and becoming strong enough to stand up against ungodly control in our lives.

Life's Decisions

In this teaching Peter shares openly about lessons that he has learnt from the example of his parents, in how the small decisions in life can have a huge impact on our lives and the lives of others. Peter shares how the Christian walk is not just about making the occasional big decisions but it is about a daily walk with Jesus to make right choices in the small things too. Many faith-building stories are also shared in this teaching.

Healing the Bereaved

Bereavement is something that all of us face but the pain of losing someone that we love, especially when this is in difficult situations such (such as the loss of children or when there are unresolved issues), can leave us devastated and feeling unable to continue with life. In this teaching Peter shares from his own experiences of loss and brings a message of hope for those who are suffering. God's heart is that we learn to depend on Him - the One who is able to bring us both comfort and healing.
