Dear Reader,

At the end of Jesus's ministry he gave a commission to his disciples - it was a commission to "go into all the world and make disciples". It was a commission that was begun by the first disciples, as they took the Gospel to the surrounding countries of the then known world, and it was a commission that has been continued by every generation of disciple that has followed in their footsteps.

Flying over AlaskaA person may become a Christian in a moment, but making a disciple is a process of helping people to understand what it really means to live the Christian life. They need healing from everything which hinders them from moving into God's destiny. This message has been at the heart of Ellel Ministries since Day One, over twenty years ago.

In recent weeks we have had a refreshed understanding of what making disciples in"all the world" can mean! The work has taken members of the Ellel teams to places as distant as Mongolia in far off Asia, Vanuatu in the South Pacific, Rwanda in Central Africa and Alaska, the most northerly and westerly state of the USA.

The team that visited Rwanda in June, with the Archbishop of Rwanda on the Cathedral stepsIn every place we have found that the extraordinary truth of the Gospel that Jesus heals today has been received with great joy and thanksgiving. Human beings everywhere have the same basic needs and in every race and every culture the healing and deliverance ministry of Jesus brings hope, healing and restoration. Whether the person is suffering life-long consequences of childhood abuse, is a victim of accident or  trauma of war, or is hurting in their heart because of acute rejection - all who truly open their hearts to Jesus as their healer are finding the life-transforming reality of God at work in their lives.

In Rwanda the whole nation is still suffering the consequences of the genocide of 1994 and today the nation's leaders are realizing that for their nation to have a fulfilled future, it has to deal with the spiritual consequences of its heritage.

Peter and Fiona Horrobin in AlaskaIn Alaska we found a people hungry for understanding of how the God who has saved them through Jesus can also heal them and equip them for life. It has been an extraordinary joy to see the fruit of God's love as He brings healing to them.

On our website you will see details of many different resources designed to equip the Body of Christ to do the works of the Kingdom and teaching of encouragement and healing for all those who are looking for answers.

Only this week I had an email from South Africa telling how a young man struggling with cocaine addiction, not only found Jesus to be his Saviour, but was totally set free from the addiction as well - all through listening to a 30 minute programme in the Steps to Life series. You can order any of this 52 part series right now on the website.

Thank you for sharing with us in the work of the Kingdom. May all that He is doing through Ellel Ministries be a blessing to you in the days ahead.

To the Ends of the Earth

The Gospel has gone to the far reaches of the earth and has crossed over into 'outer' Mongolia, once one of the most closed countries in the world to the gospel. A sign of this is the first person from this country to attend an Ellel event, the 9-week Flagship School. She is Tsengel from the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, of one million people.

Well known for its nomadic herdsman and wide open spaces with yaks,Mongolia horses, sheep, goats and cattle roaming free, Mongolia, has seen many come into the Kingdom in the last 16 years since communism fell. The church is now in a situation where it has many, many deep hurts, including self-sufficiency and illegitimacy, whilst anger, rage and retribution are often just beneath the surface as hurts that need to be brought to God for healing. Mongolians are a genuinely kind and very loving and welcoming people - they will always invite you in for a meal even if they have very little to offer you.

Many children are born into one parent families and are very poor, leading to the belief that they have to somehow make it on their own. There is also a 'new' rich arising who believe they can make it on their own. Much of this arises from the 70 years of communism and the Tibetan Buddhist/Shamanistic beliefs reaching back many hundreds of years.

The Father through Jesus Christ, wants to come and restore their lives and set them free to truly know Him so they can come into their destiny 'which He had ordained before they were born' and for which they were born. Tsengel

Tsengel found out about Ellel Ministries from missionaries, who lived and worked in Mongolia from 1996-2002.  They returned to Mongolia in early November 2006 with the desire to bring the healing, deliverance and discipleship ministry to the Mongolian people by being an in-country resource for them, whilst also maintaining links with Ellel East for prayer and relationship. Tsengel became a Christian at 18, but always felt something missing as she ministered to deaf people as well as those in prison. There were  deep inner core issues in her life including rejection, that led her to come all this way to Ellel Grange for the Flagship School. 2007 Flagship SchoolShe could not accept the lie, "the past is the past". "I received much healing during the 9 weeks, especially from rejection going back into the womb. I also experienced major deliverance from a violent spirit caused by my involvement from competitive martial arts."

The Mongolians were at one time the rulers over an area that stretched from the Asian Pacific coast to Eastern Europe and down as far as Northern India. They now occupy a very small area in comparison to that. Our belief is that along with the healing Jesus Christ brings to them in the coming years, they will go out again, but this time they will bring the truths of His love and healing to many of the countries around them.

Telefriend coming from South Africa

Derek Puffet is coming to Glyndley Manor on 11th September 2007 from 14:00 to 17:00 to talk about setting up this ministry in the UK as an extension of the present ministry of Ellel Ministries. Telefriend is a listening ministry where the aim of every "Telehelper" is to make each caller feel they have been heard by at least one other person and that they are important to God.

Telefriend was established in South Africa in 1986 by Derek and Beryl Puffett. Telefriend operates under the covering of Ellel Ministries South Africa. The individual centres are hosted by their local churches and are funded by community donations.
