Dear Reader,
The Christmas and New Year Season has long been a time for both thanksgiving and reflection. John Wesley always encouraged his followers to renew their relationship with the Lord at an annual covenant service at the turn of the year. Even as a child my parents taught me similarly and I can remember many very blessed Watch Night Services as we said goodbye to the old year and welcomed in the new In reviewing the Ellel year that has passed we again stand in amazement at the doors God has opened and the way different members of the wider Ellel team have been enabled under God to walk through them – sometimes not easily, but always with great joy and thanksgiving. What a celebration we were able to enjoy as the Baak Centre in the Netherlands became our first fully operational Centre in Western Europe. Sovereign World were able to publish the extraordinary story of Frida – Chosen to Die, Destined to Live – an incredible testimony of God’s amazing grace in the face of terrible hatred and cruelty. In Canada Derbyshire Downs became established as our new Centre in Ontario. In India we had our first All-India Ellel Convention in Hyderabad. Jill and Fi taught 800 enthusiastic Taiwanese in Taipei. The NETS School grew to its largest size ever with a wonderful mission term in South Africa. The Ellel East team have been pushing even further east with ventures into Mongolia, as well as several more former Russian states. All the UK Centreshave been pioneering new courses and schools! Right now there are 29 Term 3 NETS students in India conducting a two-centre mission In the midst of all these activities every Centre has been quietly persevering with the basic, life-giving, bread and butter of the ministry, as week by week individuals find that Jesus is not only their Saviour but their Healer as well. The testimonies of lives transformed are continuously being shared on Healing Retreats, in letters, in emails or by word of mouth. Yes, there is so much to give thanks to God for this year! Early in 2008 I will be sharing with Jim Graham at the annual Christian Leadership School at Blairmore House. For me, this special short school is one of the highlights of the year. I just love sharing on a personal level with leaders and potential leaders as they are being equipped for serving in the Body of Christ. And Jim’s teaching is quite amazing – it is hard to believe that so much wisdom can come from the lips of one man! If you can’t find a good reason to be anywhere else from the 9th to the 16th February 2008 – be sure to come to Blairmore House. I guarantee you will not regret it! Even earlier in the year we will be travelling to Israel for the first Ellel Ministries Teaching Conferences there, under the title Healing and the Kingdom. This two Centre event – Carmel and Jerusalem – is a wonderful opportunity to teach and minister to the Body of Christ in Israel. Many people have been praying for a long time that Ellel Ministries would be able to start a work there – we’d really value your prayers for these pioneering events between the 8th and 14th January. We are certain the Lord will bring an explosion of his love and power to transform lives, but that there will also be a battle – just as there was in Jesus’s day! In 2008 we will be making more pioneering moves into new territories – please pray that wherever the Lord takes us we will never depart from our foundational commitment to proclaim the Kingdom of God and heal the broken-hearted as we welcome, teach and bring healing to God’s people. On behalf of all the leaders of Ellel International, we send you our heartfelt greetings and love to each one of you. As we approach another New Year, we are realising afresh that the days are short, the night is coming and there will be a day when no man can work. Please pray with us as we pray for you, that each of our lives will make a difference as we give of ourselves, our prayers, talents, time, gifts and, above all, our love. As each of us does so, the Lord himself will build the house – the fruit belongs to Him and we give Him all the glory. Yours in the love of Jesus our Saviour

| PS If you are looking for something really good to read over Christmas, Lance Lambert’s wonderful new book, Jacob I Have Loved has just been published by Sovereign World. Ken Burnett described this book as “the most important of all else that Lance has shared throughout his worldwide teaching ministry.” It is an outstanding illustration of how much God wants to transform our fallen nature. Available now from Sovereign World or any of the Ellel Centre Bookshops. | ![]() |
