Dear {!firstname}
Greetings from the International Director's Office of Ellel Ministries. What an exciting and challenging year 2008 is proving to be in so many different ways! Just listing what is going on at any one time in the ministry is a pretty breathtaking experience!

For example, our team in Ellel East has just completed another Leaders training school in Armenia. In South Africa the 20 day school has been an outstanding success as students from various parts of Africa have walked a pilgrimage of personal discipleship and training. In Holland the Baak Centre is steadily getting established and growing in to its strategic ministry role serving the north European region. David Cross is pioneering his new role as Regional Director of the work in Western Europe, overseeing all that is happening in France, Germany, Holland, Norway and Sweden. Jill Southern has just returned from a pioneering trip for Ellel Ministries to Japan. Our teams in India are just completing their second 10 day school in the Hindi language.

Here in the UK a new NETS School is underway at Pierrepont and between Terms I and 3 there are a total of 50 students from 16 different nations! The Flagship School at the Grange has 47 Students from 16 different nations as well. In the USA Andy Taylor's team are steadily gaining ground as they train more and more people on the Modular School and in June they are pioneering a new course on Healing for Inner Brokenness. So much going on - and so much fruit around the world.

In June Blairmore House are pioneering a completely new form of leadership school called 21st century School. I wrote to all our Flagship School students from previous years to invite them to come - one lady who attended last year's Flagship School at the Grange, who, with her husband, had been unable to conceive a child for the past eight years, wrote back to say that after prayer at the Grange on the School, she is now about to deliver their first child and won't be able to come to Blairmore. What a wonderful reason for not coming!!

Earlier this year a significant team of over 40 people from across the ministry conducted two conferences in Israel - one in the north at Haifa and the other at Christ Church, in the heart of Jerusalem. The testimonies that flowed out of these two conferences have overwhelmed us. God is certainly opening up the way for the establishment of an ongoing work of Ellel Ministries in the Land - we will be sharing more details of this later in the year. It is so very thrilling to see how God's hand is open for hope and healing to His believing people in the Land of Israel. Many of the believers there are Russian speaking Jews who have returned to their homeland in recent years. The Russian speaking members of our team were thrilled to be able to minister to some of those who suffered greatly in their previous countries.

Fiona and I recently attended the Congress of the International Christian Chambers of Commerce in Jerusalem. There we met a man from Burundi who came on the very first 9-week school at Glyndley Manor back in 1992. He told us how that had so transformed his own life and ministry that ever since God has been growing and developing his church. He now has over 7000 members in his church and a further 300 associated churches in four different countries! What an amazing testimony, of God's extraordinary blessing.

We are beginning to work with believers in Rwanda to help them with the work of rebuilding their land spiritually following the terrible genocide of the early nineties. The book Frida - Chosen to Die, Destined to Live came out of one woman's extraordinary experience of being buried alive, rescued and then coming to faith and experiencing healing on the Flagship School at the Grange. If you haven't yet read this remarkable Sovereign World book I urge you to go on-line and order a copy - it's an amazingly inspiring read!

Our Singapore team are right on the edge of their next 10-day training school being held in Thailand. They have done an extraordinary job in developing these vital training opportunities for the people of East Asia - including delegates from mainland China - teaching will be in English, Chinese and Thai!

Last month we completed the filming of a new series of DVD's as a companion set of teachings to the Truth and Freedom Series. This series of 18 programmes is aimed at helping new believers understand their faith and learn to live as disciples of Jesus. The series, called Living the Life, will be available soon after the editing process has been completed. With so much going on in so many different places we do, urgently, need your prayers and if God moves you to support the work financially we will much appreciate any donation you are able to give - you may give on-line via the website. Please pray for all our teams as we continue to walk forward in obedience to the vision to meet the challenge of sharing God's love with the Body of Christ across the world.

Yours in the love of Jesus

THE BOOK CORNER

God's Covering (A Place of Healing) by David Cross

Covering is a principle which not only helps to explain the reason for so much dysfunction in the condition of man, but also gives more understanding of God's wonderful plan for restoration.

God's Covering seeks to explain the reality of spiritual exposure when we are out of God's order, and how this has had an inevitable consequence on our health and well-being. Thankfully, there is also a precious truth of God's plan for the re-covering of damaged lives through Jesus. Praying for healing for ourselves, or for others, can be entered into with more confidence as we have a growing assurance of God's unwavering desire to cover us, where there has been sin, wounding and exposure.

Hope Healing for the ABUSED by Paul & Liz Griffin

If you have been affected by abuse of any kind, Hope Healing for the Abused will help you understand patterns of your own behaviour and will explain how abuse affects the way you relate to God and to others. The practical steps to freedom outlined in this book will put you on the road to recovery and healing giving you the hope needed to overcome these barriers in your life.

This book will also bring helpful insights and understanding to anyone involved in pastoral ministry and will equip them to bring God's healing grace and love to hurting and broken people.
