22th November 2007

Dear Reader,

I am typing this letter high over the Atlantic en route home from Canada. It has been so good to spend time with Kent and Karen Bandy, the Directors of the new Ellel Ministries Centre in Ontario. They are steadily building a very solid base for the developing ministry, with some wonderful testimonies of what God has been doing in people's lives on Healing Retreats. It was also good to meet up with old friends in Toronto on the way home.

The previous week Ian Coates and I were very privileged to be sharing in the first All India Ellel Ministries Conference at Hyderabad. What a joy it was to meet people who had been on all five of the 9-day schoolsthat Ellel Ministries India have conducted in various parts of the nation. I was deeply moved by the women who expressed such deep thanksgiving for their restored lives - lives that had been devastated by sexual abuse and trauma, but which God had been putting back together through the Ellel Ministry teams in India.
What an amazing work has been established in India by Ray and Christa Eicher. After the personal blessing they received on the 9-week Flagship School at Glyndley Manor Ray and Christa came out of retirement to share with their many Indian friends what they now knew God could do for them! The fruit has been amazing. We are very grateful to the staff of Operation Mobilisation who allowed us the use of their Hyderabad base for the conference - an excellent and much-appreciated facility.

Sovereign World, the Ellel Ministries Publishing House, has just published the totally extraordinary story of Frida- a young girl who was scheduled to die in the Rwandan genocide - but who's life was in God's hands and even though buried alive, was destined to live and forgive those who had massacred her family. I won't tell you any more, it would spoil the story, but I really do urge you to get hold of this wonderful book and read of how healing came to Frida through forgiveness. She is now back in Rwanda with her husband Steven and they are starting a work of healing in Kigali, the capital city. You can order the book on the Ellel Ministries website. This is a book you can confidently give to people who are unfamiliar with the healing ministry. They would be gripped by the story and learn so much as they follow Frida through her extraordinary experiences with God.

Down under, the Australianteam have been making a second Ellel Ministries visit to New Zealand - this time for a pioneering conference in Christchurch. And the Ellel Eastteam have just returned from opening the door for Ellel Ministries in Mongolia. Little by little they are also beginning works in more of the States of the former Soviet Union. So much need, so much openness among God's people and so much fruit for the Kingdom

Here at home we are looking hard at how we can restructure the Headquartersof the ministry so that we can better serve the many developing ministries that exist around the world. Please pray that we will have the Lord's wisdom and He will provide all the resources we need to keep on walking through the doors that He opens.

Thank you for the encouragement of your prayers
Yours in the love of Jesus

Ellel Ministries in Germany

God has brought us so far:

In October 2002 on an Ellel Ministries conference in Altensteig (Black Forest, Germany), God brought the hearts of two leaders together, Peter Horrobin and Hermann Riefle of JMS and their respective ministries. JMSstands for Jugend-, Missions- und Sozialwerk (German for Youth-, Mission- and Social Work),   which probably has one of the biggest networks in Germany and far beyond, and is one of the most influential and recognised ministries and church.

The seed that sprung up five years ago has grown tall and strong and there is still more to come. Over the last two years the focus has moved from the past to  the future, not only on an individual level, but also on a corporate level. For this reason the anniversary conference about Healing and Destiny in Altensteig at the end of March 2007 was very timely and strategic. Once again the significance of God choosing a British ministry not only to serve the German people, but to work together with a German ministry in unity, purpose, friendship and in partnership, is such a strong testimony. This releases so much of God's blessings.

We had 120 students on Modular A 2003, 90 students on Modular A 2004, 80 students on Modular B 2005, 80 students on Modular A 2006 and 70 students on Modular B 2007. Usually we have a total of over 100 delegates on a course. The team has grown from 20 to 60 associate counsellors, tutors and intercessors in these five years which is utterly amazing.

One of the most encouraging things to see on the Modular schools was how the German team grew from course to course in boldness and security. It was also precious to see how we grew together in love and unity of purpose and vision. This is the very place where God commands His blessings and everlasting life. God has indeed built something very strong and substantial over the last five years: not in concrete, but in terms of building God's Kingdom. This fulfils the core vision of Ellel Ministries to bring 'the Heart of God  to the Heart of Man' and equip the church for God's purposes.

During the anniversary conference in March this year, God revealed His heart again to us. So we all felt that God wants to build our own Ellel Ministries team in Altensteig to fulfil our vision in partnership with JMS. Something, which He brought about in the first place and has blessed ever since. We trust that the Lord will lead us and take us further one step at a time. We are very excited about things still to come.

Ellel Ministries Centre opens in Holland

After all of the struggles getting the finances together, we had a day of great rejoicing. God's provision had made it possible for us to be there. We were full of thanksgiving and enjoyed all that was happening.

We started the day with thanking God for His blessings. We then prayer-walked the buildings and the land. In the afternoon many people joined us for a celebration service, thanking God for His presence and provision. We gave the Baak Centre back to its Owner, God. A moving moment of the opening was when we released twelve white doves, symbolic of the freedom and hope that God wants to bring to those in bondage. A barbecue brought the day to a close. We wish to thank everybody involved for making it such a special event.

France & Ellel Ministries

In June a 10 year agreement with the church for the ongoing work of Ellel Ministries at St Laurent du Pont was concluded .  This was a crucial step forward.  In 2008 Ellel Ministries France will be running both Modular A and B as well as four Healing Retreats and special weekend courses.

The Book Corner

Frida - Chosen to die, destined to live by Frida Gashumba

Since Frida made such an impact on everybody who met her in 2006 we have been eagerly awaiting the book of her life story. Now at last it is here and what a story it is.

From the deepest horrors of evil, God rescued her and began to reveal His purposes in her life.  He brought her to England and to Ellel Ministries to be fully healed and to learn how to be an instrument of healing to her own people.
We pray that as people buy this book it will not only touch them but help to invest in a small way to the work of the kingdom in Rwanda.
This book is available from the Ellel Ministries online shop.
