Sitting at the Feet of Jesus

A unique new opportunity to spend a precious week of personal time waiting on God. Helping believers to avoid stress and burn out by learning the fundamental principles of biblical meditation and how to come to the place where they can hear the voice of God.

During this special one week event at Ellel Netherlands Johannes Facius will share life-changing keys of how to really sit at Jesus' feet and wait on Him. This teaching and practical guidance was developed during a three week time with leaders from around the world where, once they had learned to be still before God, they experienced an incredible outpouring of His presence.

Leaders especially will value this unusual opportunity to seek God for themselves away from the demands of others.

When the introduction to this teaching was first shared on shorter conferences so very many people were blessed and encouraged through this that we know this special time with Johannes will encourage all who are crying out to God for help in their ministries and their personal walk with Him.

Johannes Facius writes:

As we come closer and closer to the coming of the Lord Jesus, God's people will face ever increasing pressures from the powers of darkness. Satan, knowing that his time is short, will throw everything he has against God's people in a desperate last attempt to abort the final destruction coming upon him and his kingdom.

It is therefore crucial for God's people to learn how we can walk forward in victory in the midst of these growing pressures. There has never been a time like this where so many in the Church are tired, discouraged and even depressed. Many of those are the pastors and spiritual leaders and their families, being specially targeted by the powers of darkness.

So many leaders in the body of Christ are suffering from burn-out and depression. What do we need to cope with this situation? We need what Jesus called the 'one thing needed' as he spoke to Martha, the sister of Mary, while coming to visit them in their home in Bethany:

"Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her." (Luke 10:41-42).

We need to come, like Mary, and sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to His word.

Sitting at the Feet of Jesus - Johannes Facius

Johannes Facius was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and began his full time ministry for the Lord in 1970 being involved with establishing the Danish branch of The Jesus People. He later founded a charismatic church in Copenhagen which he pastored for nearly 12 years. In 1973 he also founded Intercessors for Denmark which later became part of The International Fellowship of Intercessors (IFI). In 1985 Johannes became the international director of IFI and led this global prayer movement until the end of 1999.

After the death of Gustav Scheller, the founder and leader of Ebenezer Emergency Fund(EEF), Johannes stepped into the leadership of EEF to help facilitate the difficult period of transition. After 2 years of serving EEF Johannes has now felt the Lord directing him to resume his original calling to Prophetic Bible teaching and Prayer ministry to Israel - the Body of Christ and to the nations.

In his books Johannes writes about life based on the security of a relationship with Jesus. In his book God can do it without me he stresses the need for humility in the work of the Lord. It's not about what we achieve, but about God's grace. On his book Sitting at the feet of Jesus this course is based.
