The Truth about Sex & Sexuality

We live in a world that has devalued and distorted the godly concept of sex and sexuality. As a result there are many Christians living in guilt or struggling because of lack of knowledge, wrong past choices or as a consequence of sins that others have committed against them.

This course offers a safe place to help those who struggle in this area and seeks to:

Present a clear biblical understanding of God's order and intention for sex and sexual expression.
Explain the consequences of wrongful sexual activity.
Teach and apply principles, which lead to healing and restoration of Godly order.

The teaching content of this course will also be most helpful and beneficial in training and equipping those who are involved in counselling and prayer ministries.

The initial teaching examines God's creation ordinances as they relate to our sexuality, the role of free will, and His plan for the expression of sexual intimacy within marriage. Also covered are:

Understanding the depth of sexual relationships

Sexual relationships involve our body, soul and spirit. We will examine the biblical understanding of 'knowing' and 'covenant relationship' and explain how moving out of God's plan in this area opens us up to receive cursing rather than blessing.

Sexual sin and its consequences

What constitutes sinful activity - including sexual relationships outside marriage, pornography, perversions and sexual abuse - will be discussed in a frank but sensitive way. The consequences such as guilt, condemnation, emotional disturbance and possible spiritual bondage will be clearly presented.

Singleness

In this teaching we will look at some of the specific issues facing those who are single, either by choice or by circumstance.

Homosexuality and lesbianism

Biblical teaching on this subject and some of the reasons why people struggle with this problem.

Steps to wholeness

Important steps towards receiving forgiveness and cleansing from the past and how to move on into wholeness and holiness.

There will be a ministry night affording the opportunity to respond to the teaching and receive personal prayer ministry.

The event will start on Friday Night at 7:00 pm finishing about 9:30pm.
The event will continue on Saturday starting at 9:00 am and finishing about 8:30 pm.
