“I’m returning home a new man”

Following the very powerful, positive responses from the men who attended “The Call to Manhood” weekend in August 2011, we are offering this follow-up event.

The creation mandate given to us by God was to subdue the earth (Gen 1:28). Derek Kidner calls this “man’s ordering influence”. Man was created to lead, and woman to be his helper in this process - together fulfilling the call. Sadly however, since the Fall, man’s ordering influence has been tainted & affected by sin. Men have become trapped in many and various bondages, and thus the ability to bring order and to subdue the unruly has been severely hindered. This weekend event looks at the areas in which men can be in bondage – passivity, fears, rejection, addictive behaviours, sexual compulsions, workaholism, spiritual oppression, depression. We examine what it means to know that Jesus Christ has come to set the captives free – free to BE (son, husband, father, friend etc) and free to DO (to trust God, to worship, to live life to the full, to relate well, to fulfill our destiny).

The course offers some opportunities for prayer ministry to bring freedom from specific issues. It will be a great resource also for those men seeking to be better equipped to minister to other men.
