Marriage - Love & War

Marriage is the bedrock for raising strong families and raising the next generation. This retreat provides an excellent opportunity for couples to strengthen their relationship as we look at the foundations for marriage (why did God, the author of marriage, even create 2 sexes? What does God want a marriage to reveal about Himself?). Every marriage struggles at times, some more often than others. We need to understand that every marriage has the potential to reveal Christ to this world… so it will come under enemy attack!

 

How do we, as a couple, sit down to deal with those struggles, arguments and misunderstandings? How do we handle the conflict positively? How do we deal with disappointments & hurts we have already caused each other within the marriage? What about finances and all the headaches that provides? As for sex… is that something really special? Parents and in-laws causing hassles? Ellel’s ministry tools will be invaluable with all of the above!

 

Paul and Joanne Ryan will share their story and their struggles of how God has been leading them to more and more victories in their “love and war” journey in marriage. They will gently unpack how Christ has been able to reveal Himself in their ‘one flesh’ union, and in the raising of their 6 children, and in the rescue of other marriages. Come and listen to what they’ve learned about what a marriage is really meant to reveal to this world.
