Fight Like a Man - Gordon Dalbey

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest.” (Matt 11:28, The Message)

Those words of Jesus should be Good News. But Gordon Dalbey believes many Christian men have never known real rest, neither do they have any idea how to recover their life. That’s because a fatherless generation have been broken by the demands of religion and by busy lives. But it is Gordon’s heart that we learn to recover our lives.

In ‘Fight Like a Man’(which follows-on from the ‘Sons of the Father’ conference)Gordon examines the father-wound in men; why we feel inadequate around women; why we struggle in our marriages; and raising our children. Gordon talks about how we’ve been spiritually crippled. He shows how the man as a ‘Warrior’ needs to face and win the Spiritual Battle with weapons provided by God. He also unpacks the character traits that define such a warrior.

‘Fight Like a Man’ is an invitation for men who want to get real with Jesus and other men. The purpose – to recover our lives. This weekend’s theme centers on overcoming the sense of never feeling we’re good enough! Such fears and a sense of unworthiness disqualifies us men from living as true Kingdom warriors. As we become more weary - our shame drives us into addictions and destructive behaviours. This weekend will provide kingdom solutions to these crippling issues.

Gordon is passionate about turning men around. He knows we are tired of being told what we should be doing for God. Instead, his heart for this weekend is that we hear and experience what Father God wants to do for us.
